Tom Blomqvist will join AF Corse this week for the GT World Challenge Europe season finale at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the #51 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.
Having impressed in the 488 GT3 Evo at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Spa 24 Hours, Tom Blomqvist has been called upon by AF Corse for the final race weekend of the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe season.
Founded by Amato Ferrari in 2002, AF Corse are one of the most successful GT teams on the globe, having won titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Le Mans Series, GT Sprint International Championship and the Endurance Champions Cup, as well as the European FIA GT3 championship.
Tom will step into the team alongside championship contender Alessandro Pier Guidi and Côme Ledogar, completing an extremely strong line up for the 1000km event in France which will see a 40-car field tackle the Circuit Paul Ricard.
Thankful for the opportunity, Tom is looking forward to assisting the team as they look to end the year on a high.
“I’m thrilled to be joining AF Corse for this weekend in Paul Ricard, a huge thank you to the team for the opportunity and I will be doing my best to ensure the team ends the year strongly. AF Corse are an extremely professional team and my teammates, Alessandro and Côme, are very quick drivers so I feel we have a great chance of a strong result this weekend.”
The weekend kicks off on Saturday with the practice and pre-qualifying sessions preceding qualifying taking place at 17:20 (local). The 1000km, roughly six-hour, race will start on Sunday at 11:45.
