Tom Blomqvist claims Rolex 24 victory on debut

• After a thrilling 24 hours of non-stop racing, Tom Blomqvist won the Rolex 24 at Daytona on his debut
• The #60 Meyer Shank Racing squad of Tom, Oliver Jarvis, Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud, battled back from a puncture to lead the race in the mid stages
• The quartet remained in the fight for the win throughout and a decisive strategy, including a triple stint from Tom, rewarded them with victory
• Tom becomes the first rookie to win the Rolex 24 outright since 2019
• Along with Jarvis, he is also the first Brit to win the race since 2012

“It’s so fierce out there, the competition is so close. It was literally like this every lap in the stint. Trying to manage fuel and everything, it’s madness. I really would have loved to have finished the race, but I had done four stints and I was fading. I was feeling really good in the car, but at that point, you can only make mistakes. It was a really weird race. At moments, we had so much speed, and at moments, we struggled with the balance.”
