Tom Blomqvist returns to the IMSA paddock this week as he jumps back in the #31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series.R for Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen.
Lining up in the #31 Action Express Racing Cadillac V-Series.R alongside Pipo Derani and Jack Aitken, the trio will continue their Michelin Endurance Cup campaign with the third round at the iconic Watkins Glen International in New York.
Tom and the team have enjoyed a strong campaign so far this year and currently lead the Michelin Endurance Cup GTP standings thanks to a second-place finish at Daytona 24 Hours and a top-ten finish at Sebring 12 Hours - with the team starting both of the races from pole position.
Tom boasts an impressive record at the Six Hours of the Glen, having scored a pole position at the circuit in 2022 before going on to finish the race in second place and following that up with a third-place finish a year later in 2023.
On-track action starts on Friday when the first of two practice sessions begins at 13:25 (ET). Qualifying for the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen takes place on Saturday at 15:30 before the race then gets underway on Sunday at 11:10.
“I’m really excited to be joining back up with Action Express Racing and Cadillac Racing for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen alongside Pipo and Jack. Watkins is one of the highlight races of the season, it’s such a fantastic track and it's so much fun to drive. The last two years I’ve scored a pole position, second place, and a third place finish, so this year it would be fantastic to finally reach that top step.
Pipo and Jack are locked in a championship fight for the overall championship, and we currently lead the Endurance Cup standings, so I will be giving my all to help the team.
After a difficult past month for me personally, to be returning to a championship that I love competing in makes me very motivated and I can’t wait to get back in the paddock and hit the ground running.”
