Tom Blomqvist finished third overall at the Autodromo Vallelunga, Italy, to make it back-to-back podium finishes in the 2022 FIA ETCR eTouring Car World Cup
Drawn into Pool Furious, Tom got his weekend off to a strong start by qualifying in P2
Finishing P3 in Quarter Final 1, Tom would go on to secure victory in Semi Final 2 - collecting strong points before the DHL Super Final
In the weekend's Super Final, Tom brought his CUPRA e-Racer home in second place in a CUPRA one-two finish behind teammate Mattias Ekström
Collecting 72 points across the weekend, Tom finished third in the overall standings and stood on the podium for the second consecutive weekend
Tom still occupies 5th in the Drivers' Championship with 334 points
“Really pleased to finish another FIA ETCR weekend on the podium and with a strong points haul for the team. We saw this weekend was a challenge for everyone with the tyres and we knew that coming into the races we had to basically try to manage not pushing too much, not putting too much demand on the tyres and trying to stay off the curbs. So just being sensible gave us a place on the podium for myself and Mattias this weekend!
